After getting good results from 1.6 rockers on my LT1, I want to try 1.6 rockers on my K-1500 350 vortec, probably just on the intake valves (don't want to lose idle quality or torque).

The lift specs will change from .422 to .450 on the intake valve (cam lobe .281").

Will the stock springs have enough clearance for .450 lift??? What are the full specs for the stock Vortec springs??. I have a set of stock LT1 springs that took .447/.459 from the stock cam, should I swap these in for the vortec springs???

Also, does anyone know how restrictive the stock Vortec exhaust manifolds are??? My truck really responded well to a Flowmaster 3" cat-back, and now that the truck is off warranty I'm thinking of adding headers.... any comments?? Anyone know why GM puts that big kink in the tailpipe of the Vortec pickups???

Thanks in advance

Raul

oh yeah, do I really have to pull the AC housing off to get the driver side valve cover off?????
