I have a 1968 model 327 large journal engine out of a 68 corvett, it is standard bore and a very clean block. The block is one of the straightest cores i've seen, almost no shift at all.The heads are also original angle plugs, with factory screw in studs and guide plates, they have been checked , and are in excelent condition also. This engine was rebuilt with very low miles on it,for reasons i dont know why, the engine spun 2 rod bearings, the owner pulled the engine back out of this corvett and replaced it with a late model 350.I bought the engine several years ago, and have had it on a shelf in the shop ever since.
I was just wondering what this engine would be worth to a corvett or camaro owner that was trying to do a restoration right on a 68 model car.The reason i bought it to begin with is i own a 68 camaro that is all origanal, including engine and trans, and thought i'd keep it around in case i ever trashed the engine in it ,, but since ive thought of selling out some things for much needed space in the shop .If anyone has any input on this engine it would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks
