Will L98 Heads work well with my 305 TPi ?

I ported my TPI, spent 5hrs on the base alone. I also have a set of L98 heads lying around and want to know if I can put them on. I know someone who has put vet L98 heads on a 305. Are they the same ?
I would also like for someone to recomend a cam. Is the LT4 hot overkill ? I have edelbrock 350 hedders and cat back as well as a high flow cat.
