I have a 350 sbc in my boat connected to my OMC i/o
that i would like to replace. Can anyone explain
why I shouldnt use an engine such as ZZ4 as a replacement.
instead of a marine only engine? I have a fresh water cooling
system already installed on my current engine that could be
fitted onto the new engine so internal corrosion should
not be a problem. Are there any other different parts that
a marine engine has that would make a signifigant difference
over a regular performance engine? Also, I have heard that
GM offers a marine version of there 350c.i. vortec engine
but I have not seen any ads or specifications for this engine.
Any comments or help with the above would be appreciated.
