Sean, your 55 is light and low geared enough to run around 5 to 6 psi without any problems, 8 psi if you mix the fuel 25/75 with race gas (112 octane) and unleaded premium. The desire to use overdrive is understandable with the 4.56's - I recommend a Gear Vendors unit coupled with your TH400 - it is strong enough for this application. The overdrive does load the engine more when engaged (just higher geared) so the boost levels I'm recommending need to be followed, i.e.; just think about rolling on the throttle when "lugging" in overdrive, this is one situation when the engine is prone to rattle. Also you should utilize a MSD 6BTM based ignition system, this has boost retard and is good protection against detonation - Hope this helps, DRHP
