I have a -88 K-1500 and I`m towing a 4500 pound trailer
with 341:1 rear,33" tires,700r4.
I pull in 3rd lockup 55mph and 2100 rpm.I`m going
to swap the engine so I have two options for a high-
torque low rpm engine,(1400-2100 rpm).
-93 383" (new) or the -98 350 Vortec.I`m using stock
computer,Hypertec prom, Holley 2" TBI,low torque
Competition cam(252 dur and 409 lift)Performer manifold,
2,5"high flow no cat (don`t need emission on -88 modelyear
in Sweden),98 octane unleaded.
What engine gives me best low rpm torque and milage??
