: I would appreciate your opinion...hopefully I'm
: worried over nothing!
: I got a flat in a rear tire on my MonteSS the other
: night. I drove on the flat for a about a mile to a flat
: fix shop. THe shop removed the tire and inspected it.
: The tire could not be repaired - it had a sidewall gash -
: and my spare was no good either. I use the stock
: 215/65/15 size tires all around but the shop did not
: have a replacement tire avaiable in that size.
: They did have a 235/60/15 which was very close in
: diameter to the 215/65/15. I think it is about 0.1"
: taller. I had the guy mount the 235 on my rim and
: put it back on the rear. I then drove for about 40
: miles with these two mismatched tires (235/60 and 215/65)
: on my rear.
: Do you think that I caused any damage to the rearend/posi
: unit due to this mismatched pair of tires?
: I will be buying a new set of matching tires this weekend!
: Thanks

: PS. I hope to be ordering a ZZ4 from you guys soon!
I think your ok. Sounds like a good time to service the rear end oil .Use Gm 1052271 #2.5 and 1 bottle of 1052358 . Check for any broken parts in the bottom of the rear end . Don't forget to get a gasket.
