This page is a list of links to some of our customer’s homepages. We had to remove half the links to web pages because one they either no longer existed and the person that owned the web site didn’t notify us that they had a new address or if they simply quit having a home page. One home page link was removed due to it being on a server that was now demanding that you sign up for a service to be able to view that home page.

1) You need to be a verified customer of Chevrolet.

2) Your homepage cannot be located on a server that demands that a person sign up for a service before your web site can be viewed.
Example: Microsoft Passport Account, etc. If I have to sign up for a service just to look your site over and make sure it is ok to link too, it’s not going to happen and your link will not be added.

3) Your home page has to be just that. A personal home page about you or what you are interested in and not a commercial web site.

4) The content on your web site has to belong to you or you were given permission to use it. Stolen pictures or information from other web sites will get your link disqualified.

5) If your web site is nothing more then a link site with nothing but links to other web sites, this will disqualify it also.

6) Web sites that are maliciously downloading viruses, downloaders, spyware, etc. just by virtue of viewing the page and without a person’s permission or knowledge will not only be denied, but also reported. Keep in mind that I not only look at the pages with a browser like everyone else, but I also look through the code used to make the web site to make sure there is not anything bad there.

7) If your web site can only be viewed with one Internet browser like Internet Explorer and cannot be viewed accurately or at all with any other Internet browser, your link will not be added.

8) If your web site is denying access to anyone that is not using a specific Internet browser or even worse, a specific version of a specific Internet browser, then your link will be denied.

9) If your web site is demanding that a person turn off their firewall protection or in anyway lower their Internet browser's security settings below that of the default security settings which would leave that person’s computer vulnerable to attacks or allow things to be downloaded onto their computer without their permission or knowledge, your link will not be added.

10) If on a routine link check it is determined that your web site, while not violating any of the rules when your link was first added, is now found to be violating the rules, your link will be removed.

11) If on a routing link check it is determined that the link no longer links to your web site, your link will be removed. It is up to you to let us know if you change the address of your web site and what that new address is so your link can be updated.

12) Your web site cannot contain anything that would be considered offensive to the average person or their children. I say average person because there is no way you can make the people in every extremist group happy. Anti-gun extremist/activist would have a fit about a picture of a gun for instance, where a hunter would say “What a great picture.” Since there are more hunters then anti-gun extremist/activist, let alone all the other people, a picture of a gun alone would not disqualify your homepage. Likewise, a picture of your SUV will not disqualify your link no matter how upset an environmentalist extremist/activist might be at just seeing a picture of one. These are just examples to give everyone a rule of thumb to go by before asking to have their web site linked from here.

These rules are subject to change at any time as the conditions on the Internet change. Someone is always coming up with a new scheme or trick that negatively effects everyone and gives the Internet a bad name and the rules will need to change to reflect these changes as they come about.
