Please make sure you have your e-mail address on all of your messages sent to us.
If you have been told by your local dealer that a stock part has been discontinued, asking us the same question will not change that fact.
The GM high performance discussion board is mainly for our customers to get together and communicate, but it is also for communication with us.

If you have you just came from a search engine and are stuck with no navigation, turn on Java Scripts in your Web browser, reload the page, then you can turn off Java Scripts again. Also, people using Internet Explorer have to use the pull down tab next to the back button to return to a search engine. More information on this is on our help page.
GM and Chevrolet part prices are in the Price & Parts search. Keys are to be used with the Price & Parts Search. Enter a Key, part number, GM, SC, or a key word, like 502, into the Price & Parts search to see if we have it on our site. Use GM for a list of both GM and GMPP parts. Use SC for a list of all Chevrolet exclusive parts. Aftermarket company prices are on downloadable Price Sheets or on their pages. The Page Search is for searching the pages of our Web site. More information on this is on our help page.

I can’t find prices.
Some prices, like engine options, have to be on the page with the engine because they are the exchange price and not the true price of the part. An exchange price means that this is the price of the part if it is exchanged for a part that comes on the engine.
GM, GM Performance Parts, and Chevrolet prices are found by doing a search in the “GM & SC Price & Parts Search” found at the top. The search is just like doing any other search. Use the pull down tab to help control your results. An example of this, for doing a search for engine prices is as follows: Type engine into the search box, set the pull down tab to “Part”, then click on the Go button.
You can do the same thing by using the Key allengine and setting the pull down tab to Key, but since the Keys are unique, they will work without using the pull down tab. The results of either method will produce a list of 100 engines per page with a button at the bottom for going to the next page if there are more then 100 results. The maximum number of results that can be displayed is 500 or five pages of results. There are more then 500 GM parts, so you will need to limit your search or you may not see the part you are looking for displayed.
Aftermarket company prices like ,MSD Ignition, are found on downloadable Price Sheets on the Price Sheets page or on the pages for them. Eventually all will be on Price Sheets. There is help on the Price Sheets page for people on how to download and view the Price Sheets, if you have problems.
Why the Price Sheets for Aftermarket companies and the Price Search for GM and Chevrolet parts? Why not do both the same?
Aftermarket manufactures either send us their prices on Excel spread sheets or in paper form. Those that send us prices in Excel spread sheets, we can alter and use on our web site so that people can download them. Aftermarket manufactures only send out new price list a couple times a year, so this isn't too much of a problem to do. The companies that order from us like us doing this and want more of these rather then the generic paper wholesale price list that doesn't have our prices on it. For Aftermarket manufactures that only send us their prices in generic paper wholesale price list form, individuals will have to call us for a price for now. Companies, that order from us, get mailed the paper generic wholesale list with an explanation as to how to determine our prices from this, for this situation.
GM prices come to us on CD in a format that is intended to be used with our inventory computers and only the inventory program can read this data. The CDs are produced by the same company that provides the inventory program. New CDs are shipped to us once a month because GM makes changes to price once a month. It would be cost prohibitive to try to get someone to convert the information on the CDs into Excel price list format. Due to the way we receive the GM prices and the frequency of the price changes, the search program on our Web site is the best way to handle GM prices. The search program also gives people much more flexibility. If they just want to know the price of one part, they just enter the part number and hit go which gives them what they want without having to look through pages of prices to find it. If a person just wants a list of engine prices, they just set the pull down tab to part, type in engine, then click on the go button. This way people get just what the want. This program also allows the counter people to make changes to the prices as GM changes their prices to us. They don't need to have the Webmaster do it for them. Along with this, they can also add or delete a part as needed along with being able to change the information about the part as needed.
I can’t find the the shopping chart button.
You will only find a shopping chart button on a Shopping Chart site. This is a Web site. Shopping Chart sites are really programs that you are operating just like our message board is a program. These programs cost a lot of money and have very little flexibility. If something needs to be changed about the program to fit the site owner’s needs, it cost more then the program did originally, in most cases, to have this done. These programs have to interface with banks and a go between company. Both charge for this service and banks charge more to companies for the interface to a Web site then a phone line interface. We have a bank merchant account already that we use when people call in and purchase something. The extra cost of using a Shopping Chart program and the on-line bank merchant account would have to be passed on to our customers. Also if the bank denied your purchase, they don’t tell us. A simple typo could get your purchased denied and we would never know that you tried to order something.
We also want people to call us when ordering parts. We want to make sure that what you want to order will work for you and your application. We have a Secure Order Form for those people that can't call us, but we would rather that you called.
Because Shopping Chart programs are limited on what they allow a person to do with them, they won't allow us to make full pages with detailed information on engines or other parts that we would like to do this with. We would be limited to small bits of information and maybe one or two small pictures. If we only cared about selling parts and didn't care about our customers, a Shopping Chart program would be perfect for us.
Your Webmaster has trapped me on your Web site and won’t let me return to the search engine that I came from.
This happens only with people using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer program. This does not happen with any of the other major and more advanced browser programs like Mozilla, Netscape, Firefox, and Opera. This is due to the way the Internet Explorer handles this situation and it IS NOT a problem with our Web site. All you have to do to return to a search engine, when using Internet Explorer, is to use the pull down tab next to the Internet Explorer’s back button to go back. Repeatedly clicking on the back button will only keep putting you back on our Web site, thus giving you the impression that you have been trapped on our Web site. We are not going to completely redesign our Web site just because of this flaw in Microsoft’s web browser program when it is so easily handled by the users of that browser. Send your complaints, on this, to Microsoft and maybe one day they will fix this.
As and example of what I'm saying about the Internet Explorer browser. This person actually sat there and clicked on the back button 37 times. The log stopped at this time, so I assume that the person closed the browser. One of the definitions of insanity is to keep doing the same action repeatedly while expecting to get a different result. Very nimble fingers to be able to click on the back button 37 times in 18 seconds though.

Why am I redirected when I come to your Web site from a search engine anyway?
For all the hoopla about how great search engines are today, they still do things in the same way as they did when they first where made and do not take into account how Web sites have changed since then. They do not link to where the information is found on a Web site, but only to the document that the information was found on. This leads to major problems for a person that wants more information, if the document is on a Web site indicates that they might find even more information about what they are looking for on that Web site. Say that you end up on a Word document, for instance, and there are no links to any pages or other information contained on document, so you are stuck. You are on a Web site that has information that you are looking for, but you can’t find out if there is more or if the site has a message board where you can ask for more information, as an example. The redirect is to help keep people from becoming stuck in this situation. So far there is not a way to do a redirect with a Word, PDF, Excel, or similar documents, but it works on most other Documents, like Web pages that are click on pop ups and may only contain a picture or a small bit of information and nothing else.
You are not being redirected because of the browser that you are using. We do not have multiple copies of pages designed for specific browsers and direct you to pages based on the browser you are using. Webmasters that tell you that you can’t make a Web page that is viewable in most browsers are only telling you this because they don’t know how or don’t care. Most of these Webmasters are just telling you this to get you to go away and/or they are using programs to make their sites with that only work with Internet Explorer. Programs used to make Web sites and pages with, that are made by Microsoft, never take into account if what is produced works with any browser except their Internet Explorer browser and also, as of this time, do not produce a result that will pass Internet standards. If a Web site and it’s pages are made to work with any of the other major browsers, they will work with IE, but if they are made to work with IE, it is only by luck that they will work with any other major browser.
Some of your pages look different then others and it drives me crazy.
Since the Webmaster is the only one that works on the site and has many other job functions then working on the Web site, changes have to be done “On The Fly”. Therefore, you will see some pages that haven't been updated to the newest format yet. Originally this was not a problem when we only had a few pages, but we have hundreds of pages now. The most viewed pages will be done first and the Web site upgrades will be balanced with other priorities involving the Web site. A customer that asks for help on our message board will have priority over working on the Web site, for instance. If one of our computers develop a problem, that also takes priority over our Web site.
“I can’t find the part that I’m looking for on your website. I’m looking for lug nuts and don’t see a lug nut image to click on anywhere. I've spent the last 30 minutes looking for one. Your website is the worst user friendly site that I have ever seen. I don't have the time to waste looking for it, fix your site and make it user friendly. I’m going to a site that cares about their users and never coming back to this crapy site. Learn how to make a website JERK!”
This is an actual quote from a message sent to me three months ago. This person went on for a few more paragraphs and each paragraph became less of that you would want your kids to see. I only quoted the first part of the fist paragraph of this person’s message to use as an example. Beleive it or not, we get one message almost identical to this one about once every other month. Everyone of these people are expecting to see an image to click on that will take them right to what they want and it has to be on the first page they see no matter where that page happens to be on our site. One of these people even called us and demanded to speak to me so he could personally give me a piece of his mind. In his case, he wanted an engine image to click on. When I asked him why he didn’t type “engine” into the search boxes provided and click the go button, he said that he didn’t see them. (Talk about mental blinders?!)

So, anyway, this is what you need to do: Use the search programs provided and if they don’t list what you are looking for, check our Price Sheets page for Aftermarket prices. Don’t spend a lot of time on this. We only have approximately 20% of the parts that we have stocked, carry, or have access too on our Web site. Call our toll free phone number and ask for it. Use our on-line request form, if you can’t call us. We are a warehouse distributor and most of the companies that we supply are more interested in getting our price list then detailed information about parts. This is one of the major reasons that we started using downloadable Price Sheets which saves us on some of our mailing and printing cost. We do sell to individual people, but this is a small part of our business.
I like the way something is done on another site and you should be doing it the same way they do it.
This can get pretty amusing for us at times since everyone has a different opinion about what they like and don't like and very few people that contact us like something done the same way as someone else. Even the boss doesn’t get everything he wants. What can be done is limited by what can be done with what we have to work with and the budget allocated for the Web site. As long as what is done doesn’t cause your Web browser to crash or cause you major problems, these comments will only be noted. Only if a good number of our Web site visitors say that they want things to be the way you want it to be, will the matter be looked into. If the boss wants it to be the way it is, it won’t be changed anyway. The Webmaster will not make changes to the site just for one person or even 10 people out of the thousands that visit our Web site everyday unless the Webmaster feels that the change will benefit everyone and the boss approves of the change and also agrees that it will benefit everyone.
I can’t find any information on who to contact.
This information is on our About us page.
How much traffic does your Web site get?
You can see our Server Log Stats. These stats include everything on our Web site. You need to combine the main domain stats with our lesser used second domain name stats.
You can also see our Visitor Stats. This shows only Visitors to our Web site related only to our pages. It does not include message board traffic, chat room traffic, or search engines scanning our Web site.
Stats shown on Web sites like Alexa are not accurate. The server logs are the most accurate of any source. Even Statcounter is not accurate. Statcounter relies on a cookie much like a page hit counter and if this cookie gets deleted from a someone's computer, it effects the Statcounter results just like deleting the cookie for a page hit counter does. A person may be a long time visitor, but if the cookie gets deleted by a program like Ad-aware, then the next time the person visits our site, they will be only counted as a first time visitor. Statcounter is still one hundred times more accurate then sites like Alexa. Alexa admits that their stats are only close to accurate for sites that they list in their top 100. Not only do they use a cookie like Statcounter does, but they may go for days without recording data on a site, that isn’t in their top 100. All the days they don’t record data for a site, dramatically reduces the actual numbers. These days are still averaged in, but with zero for those days. If they go for a month without recording data for your site, they will show that you had zero traffic for that month and it also gets averaged into their 3 months totals. This makes what they show for any Web site that is not in their top 100 list, pretty much worthless to go by. We stopped linking to our stats on their site years ago because of this.
You can see our stats on Ranking.com also. They are not close to as accurate as Statcounter, but a lot more accurate then Alexa is.
I get a message saying found zero records when I searched for a part.
If you get this message - “Your search found zero records, please try again.”, it means that what you are looking for isn’t there or not matched to the way you entered it (Examples: L79 vs L-79 and Ramjet vs Ram Jet). Try searching both the Price Search and the Page Search for the item before deciding the part is not on our site. Non-GM and SC Aftermarket parts will be all put on downloadable Price Sheets that are in Excel format. Some are still on their pages. It takes time to do this and they will be added to the download page as they are made. Just because the part you are looking for isn’t on our Web site, does not mean that we do not carry it. Call us on our toll free phone number and ask for it.
Is there a way to view the main page by itself? I only came to see the pictures and it would make that easier.
There is nothing stopping a person from doing this. This has to do with your browser having Java Scripts turned on. You just need to turn this off in your browser first before right clicking on the page and instructing your browser to open it in a window by itself. More modern and advanced browsers like Mozilla, Firefox, and Opera make turning on and off Java Scripts easy within their settings. Other more archaic and less advanced browsers like Internet Explorer it is not as easy to do. There is nothing labeled in the IE settings as Java Scripts, but that is what is being used and is what is giving you the impression that you are not being allowed to do this by us. Instead Microsoft refers to this as Active Scripting which you will find under the Internet Options Security Tab and then, only after clicking on the level button there, will all these options display. You need to disable Active Scripting, as they call it. Then click OK, click Apply, then click OK again and lastly reload the page to do this. Microsoft never wanted anyone to know about this since it is all you needed to do to kill pop ups and they could have just told people that instead of saying you can't control pop ups with IE, until recently anyway, with the new updates to IE 6.0 and then this is only done in a watered down way that they want it done. I have meet a lot of people that spent hard earned money on pop up control programs that were not very happy when I pointed this out to them and gave me the usual "But Microsoft said that you couldn't do that with their browser!" response. Almost forgot, in most versions of IE, you can only open a page in another window from the link to the page. In the more advanced browsers, you only have to left click on the page to see the funtion to do this with.
I get errors when I look at your site like the image attached shows. Fix your site so I can see it properly.
What these people are referring to is only related to IE. Internet Explorer is full of bugs and security holes. It always has been and probably always will be. This problem, that the person is talking about, is due to an error in IE's error reporting. I've made a screen capture of one of these:
IE Error Bug
This is saying that there is a script code that has an error in it, on this page, and that the error is located on line 45 of the page. The only problem is that there isn't any script codes in this location. There is one small Java Script code above this point on the page code, but there is nothing wrong with it so this can’t be due to and error prior to line 45 either. In short, it is a false error reported by Internet Explorer. Nothing is wrong with the page or any script code on this page. The problem is with IE if you see this.
