GM and Chevrolet part prices are in the Price & Parts search. Keys are to be used with the Price & Parts Search. Enter a Key, part number, GM, SC, or a key word, like 502, into the Price & Parts search to see if we have it on our site. Use GM for a list of both GM and GMPP parts. Use SC for a list of all Chevrolet exclusive parts. Aftermarket company prices are on downloadable Price Sheets or on their pages. The Page Search is for searching the pages of our Web site. Welcome to the Chevrolet catalog on the Internet!
The one stop shop for all your Chevrolet high performance needs, almost all anyway. We do not stock much in the way of 4 or 6 cylinder parts, for example. There is just not much support or demand for them. We can special order any 4 or 6 cylinder parts that are listed in the GM Performance Parts catalog if you need them though.

Chevy small-block and big-block engines are our main focus and where most of or expertise lies. We have a staff of sales people that have extensive knowledge of these engines. We also have a Race Shop that specializes in building up new crate engines. If you do not see a crate engine that will suite your needs, call and we will custom build one for you. It takes time for our Race Shop to do their work, so take that into consideration before ordering. We can get a pre-built crate engine to you much faster then one that needs to be built up first. Our Race Shop is not geared for doing conversions on cars. Engine building is their forte.

About stock factory replacement parts or stock factory vehicles:
Please go through your local dealer for questions or ordering parts and vehicles. If you live in a region of the world where you do not have access to stock parts or the cost of stock parts are much more then if you ordered them from us, then we will try to help you. Inform us first of your situation so that we will know that we are your only source you have access too. If your local dealer informs you that a GM part has been discontinued and they can not get it, then we will not be able to get it either. So please do not ask us if we can get it for you. The only crate engines we have, that are certified emissions legal, if installed properly, are the stock replacement GM Goodwrench engines. For all other situations or engines on this site, consult your local and national laws to see if they can be legally use for your application.

Pages with prices on them are kept as current as possible, but there are times and situations where they may not be current. So verify with us first of the price of a part before ordering. If the page has a date stating when it was last updated, you can use that as an indicator of how current the prices on that page are. The end goal is to have all the GM and Chevrolet parts prices in the “GM/SC PRICE & PARTS SEARCH”, which is accessible in the top navigation frame, and all the other aftermarket company prices on downloadable Excel pricesheets.

IMPORTANT! We no longer ship to or take orders from outside the USA. We will only ship to and take orders for people and companies that are within the USA. If you live outside of the USA you will have to find a company willing to ship to you.

A: One engine per crate, all crates are similar in design (i.e. wood, etc.)

On the more serious side, here is a link to the Crate engine section of the GM Performance Parts site.
Gm Performance Parts - Crate Engines

A: Tough one! We ship through some where around 20 different carriers and to every state in the USA. On top of that, we sell items that weight less than a pound to well over 700 lbs. apiece. This makes it impossible to configure an on-line shipping program. Some companies, that use Shopping Chart sites, enter a generic on size fits all cost for the shipping price. This may mean that they determine what the highest cost would be to ship a certain weight and size of package to someone in the USA from their location. This one size fits all shipping cost will then be applied to all parts that fit into this category, even if you live in the same city that the company is in. This means that most people are getting over charged for shipping cost, when they do this. If you contact us and give us at least your zip code and what you want to buy, we can look this up for you and let you know what the shipping cost would be, for this part/parts, to your location.

A: Just contact us. Since we have to figure the shipping to you anyway and how you would prefer it shipped, we will need to establish communications with you. Also, you need to contact us to verify if the price(s) on the item(s) you want are correct on our site. Most of the major items on our site have their prices updated often so are most likely correct.

There are four ways you can contact us:
Direct e-mail messages - If you send an e-mail message to either [email protected] or [email protected], your message will be forwarded to the appropriate person to handle your request.

Our on-line forms - We have 3 on-line forms that you can fill out. Once submitted, the information you filled out will be e-mailed to us (Except the secure order form, which for obvious reasons, we won’t go into how it’s handled.)

Phone us - We have a toll free 1-800 number that works from a number of countries. This is the best way to quickly communicate with us on what your needs are.

Fax us - As far as we know, faxes work from every country in the world. Though the readability of faxes have a lot to be desired most of the time, they like e-mail allow you to send messages to us at any time.

All communications need to be in English or the best you can come to it. There are just too many languages for us to be able to translate all of them, so we aren’t going to try to touch that subject.

A: We do in a round about way, but don’t post anything except special “one of a kind” type vehicles on our site. The amount of time and manpower it would take to keep all the cars updated all the time, just isn’t worth it.
Example - Pictures are taken and all the information is posted on a vehicle and 5 minutes later the webmaster is informed that the vehicle just got sold. All that time and manpower to post the vehicle, just went down the drain.
Also, the vehicles would have to be sold at a price that would also cover the cost of maintaining vehicle information on the site.
It’s easier for us to just have everyone call in on our toll free number and ask what we can get or have on our lots at any given moment.

A: GM Performance Parts Warranty
Taken from GMPP year 2001 catalog.
Due to the nature and intended usage of GM performance parts, the parts in this catalog, except for engines and partial engines, are sold without any express or any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the performance of such parts is with the buyer. Should parts prove defective following their purchase, the buyer and not the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer, assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing, repair, damage or loss to property and consequential damage.
“Engine and Partial Engine Warranty” under the provisions of the General Motors Dealer Service Parts and Accessories Warranty Section 1.1.3a, engines and partial engines, including partial engines in kits, are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty specifically excludes engine and partial engines used in racing or competition or that fail as a result of alteration. These engines and partial engines are not designed or approved by General Motors for marine use.
Installation of GM Performance Parts may adversely affect GM New Vehicle Warranty. Please consult your dealer for terms and conditions.

A: We no longer ship to or take orders from outside of the USA.

A: No, our web site is the closest thing we have to a catalog and this only represents maybe 5 percent of what we carry. We have grown so large that it has made it impractical to produce a catalog that would do our inventory any justice. In fact, if we combined all the catalogs of the companies products we sell, you would need a hand truck just to get it into your house. What we use are the individual catalogs of each company that we sell their product for. For example, for GM Performance Parts use the GM Performance Parts catalog. Likewise for Edelbrock, use the Edelbrock catalog. We stock as much of these company’s product lines as is possible. The main focus is on GM and Chevrolet parts, but we can get anything in those catalogs if you need it and the companies can get it to us. We are not like most companies or catalog companies that just pick what they feel is the cream of the crop of parts from each company that they sell their product for and if you want anything other then that from that company, well that’s just tough. We on the other hand say, if they make it, we will either already have it or will try our best to get it for you. If by chance we can’t get it for you, we will tell you that as soon as we find that out. In some cases we have already found that out from a previous attempt.

A: It was taking up too much of our time per order and over half of the people trying to place these orders where changing their minds about doing it once they realized either how expensive the shipping cost would be or how much troubles they would have to go through to arrange for a shipper to handle the shipping. Basically they found out the same thing we did about all the hassles and expense of International shipping that have come about since the 9-11 attacks on the US, which is why we had to stop shipping outside of the USA too.

Q: What type of lube is recommended for my TREMEC transmission?
A: The following types of lube are recommended:
TR-3550/TKO - GM Synchromesh or Dextron III
TR-3650/T-45/T-5 - Dextron III
T-56 (Ford and GM) - Dextron III
T-56 (Viper only) - Castrol Syntorque

Q: I am installing an aftermarket shifter on my TREMEC. Do you have any suggestions?
A: The major problem with aftermarket shifters is that they have stops on them. To install them correctly, you will have to remove the stops completely. Our transmissions are built with internal stops.

Q: How Does Stuff Work?
Why does my manual transmission car make a loud whirring noise in reverse?

A: Chevrolet does not burn or supply custom chips. There are a number of companies that specialize in doing this.
Some of the better ones are:
http://www.fastchip.com/
http://www.hypertech-inc.com/
http://www.superchips.com/
http://www.kcspeed.com/
http://www.jetchip.com/
You should contact more then one of these companies until you find the one that you are the most comfortable with. Custom chip burning is an Art as much as it is a highly technical procedure and some companies do much better at it then others.
It is not unusual for a custom burnt chip not to work with your engine like it was intended and having a chip burnt is expensive. Chevrolet does not endorse any of these companies including the ones listed above. The ones listed here have a better then average reputation for working with customers to get a chip right in the first place and also for working with customers when things go wrong.
Never have a chip burnt until after you have made all of the modifications to the engine and vehicle. If you make changes to the engine and in some cases the other things on your vehicle after installing a custom chip, you may need to have have another custom chip burnt all over again. Be very careful and work closely with the company that is burning the chip for you. Make sure the company has all the information on exactly what you have. The more accurate the information you supply the chip company the less likely that the chip will fail to work for your application.
If you know of a chip burning company that has a high approval rating in your area and a web site, you can e-mail us at [email protected] with all the information about them including their web site address. If they look promising to us also, then we will add them here. People just wanting a free link to a web site will be ignored so don’t waste your time. All suggestions will be checked fully before being added to the above list. Link exchange suggestion will be ignored too. This list isn’t for getting more hits on our site and yours. It’s solely to be of help to our customers.

A: People complain when we tell them that a part is on back order and think this is something that is our fault. The manufacturer of the part is the one that puts parts on back order. So if the part is on back order to us, it is on back order to all of their distributors no mater what level of distributor they are for their parts, Warehouse, Wholesale, or Retail. There are a host of reasons for a manufacturer to put parts on back order and they are too numerous to go into here. When a manufacture puts something on back order, this means that they temporarily can not supply it. If the problem is due to something beyond their control, like a company that supplies them with a raw material to make the part with, goes out of business and they need to find another source, etc. In cases like this, they may not be able to tell anyone when they will be able to start shipping this part again. If they can’t tell us when, then we can’t tell our customers when they will be shipping this part again. We have to patiently wait until they get the problem resolved just like everyone else. Repeatedly calling us or any other distributor of this part and getting mad that you aren’t getting a date that you will be able to get this, won’t change this situation. The distributors have no control over what is happening.

A: When you contact a distributor and they tell you that a part has been discontinued and is no longer available, calling all the other distributors for that manufacture will not change this fact. About 10% of our phone calls we get are from people asking us for a part that they have been told by another distributor that the part, that they are looking for, was discontinued years ago. When a dealer tells someone that a part has been discontinued, they mean that the manufacturer of the part has discontinued the part. We don’t mind so much if the part was just recently discontinued and the people are hoping to find a distributor that might still have this part in their stock though. If it is a GM part that you are looking for, you can ask the GM dealer (GM distributor) if they can do a dealer search for this part for you. You do not need to try to contact every GM dealer and ask them individually. Distributors can discontinue carrying a manufacture’s part or a manufacture brand, but they can’t discontinue a part. When a distributor decides to no longer carry a part, they will say, “We no longer carry that part.” It is a business decision of theirs to no longer carry that particular part. Only the manufacturer of a part can discontinue a part.
