SBC Cast Iron High Rise Bow Tie. This manifold is a cast iron version of the aluminum Z-28 intake manifold. It offers
the breathing benefits of a high-rise intake manifold in a less expensive package. It is recommended for Chevy
enthusiasts on a budget, and for racers competing in classes which require a cast iron intake manifold. It is also suited
to marine applications because cast iron is less susceptible to corrosion damage than aluminum.
Technical Notes: The carburetor mounting pad accepts both standard flange and spread-bore four-barrel carburetors.
This manifold is identified by orange paint on the Bow Tie. |

SBC Aluminum Bow Tie Intake, Raised Runner. The intake runners in this aluminum intake manifold are raised .200” to
match the ports in the raised runner Bow Tie cylinder head P/N 10051101. Its single-plane runner design maximizes
horsepower at high rpm, and the gently curved runners enhance mid-range torque. The runner entries are radiused to
minimize turbulence in the plenum and to promote uniform fuel distribution to all eight cylinders. An air gap beneath
the runners isolates the intake charge from engine heat; there are no heat riser passages. The carburetor pad is drilled
for a standard flange four-barrel.
Technical Notes: This intake manifold is for competition use only. A 2” carburetor spacer is recommended if hood
clearance is sufficient. Manifold casting P/N 10051103. |

SBC Aluminum Bow Tie Intake, Standard Runner. This is Chevy’s best Bow Tie aluminum intake manifold for competition
small-block V8s with standard intake ports. It is based on the same casting (P/N 10051103) as the raised runner intake
described above, and offers the same advanced performance features. The gasket flanges are machined to provide the proper
port alignment with standard runner locations; runners in heads and manifold must be matched by engine builder. This
manifold’s single-plane design produces impressive power at high rpm, and the tuned runners boost mid-range torque.
Technical Notes: This competition-only intake manifold mounts a single standard flange four-barrel. A 2”
carburetor spacer is recommended if hood clearance is sufficient. Use with heavy-duty Bow Tie cylinder heads P/N 10134392
and 14011049. Important part matching information: When matching gasket to the intake manifold, the gasket will line up
with the top of the port. Stock removal will be required at the bottom of the port gaskets that can be used with this
manifold are: FEI-PRO PN's 1205 & 1206 Mr Gasket P/N 102. Be sure to match the gasket to the cylinder head you plan to
use to insure correct fit. |
