When ordering certain transmissions, a core charge will be added to your bill. This core charge will be refunded when we receive your exchange transmission. The exchange transmission must be complete and in rebuildable condition. A full core charge refund will be made for an exchange transmission free of damaged hard parts such as case, extension housing, etc. A partial or no core charge refund will be made for a damaged exchange transmission. The exchange transmission must be the same make, model and year as the purchased transmission. If we do not receive your core exchange within a period of 30 days, no refund will be made.

Notes

For the 40L60/4L60E:
1) If you are replacing 1982-86 transmissions, we recommend that you call and talk to us about this.
The number of splines on the input shaft where different those years and we will need to make sure that you get the correct parts for this. 1982-84 and 1981-86 TH2004R had 27 spline input shafts. Most listed items are for 30 spline input shafts.
2) Oil pump modification is required to use on Non Lock-up converter.
3) Some models are available with Billet Cover and HD Lock-up Piston for additional charges.
