Around October of 2004, Magneti Marelli Powertrain USA, Inc. stopped making these carburetors and destroyed the tooling they used to make them. This prevented anyone else from getting ahold of the tooling an start making these. So the long and the short of it is that the Q-Jet Carburetors are gone for ever now. Edelbrock states that escalating costs and declining Q-Jet business are contributing factors. We haven’t said anything about this until now because we still had a large number of these carburetors in stock. Our inventory is now running low on these so it’s time to update this page with the information about what is left and available to everyone from us. The Quadrajet carburetors remained in the 2005 catalog listed as “while supplies last”; however Edelbrock continued to offer Q-Jet accessories and service components. Their reconditioned program will be available on a limited availability basis. |

• 1901 is discontinued and no longer available from us. • 1902 is discontinued. We have 15 left in stock as of this update. We also have 2 of the 9972 carbs which is the Edelbrock remanufactured 1902 carb. • 1903 is discontinued. We have 6 of the 9973 carbs which is the Edelbrock remanufactured 1903 carb. This is a 795 cfm hot air choke style carb. You can change it to an electric choke with an Edelbrock 1932 conversion kit. • 1904 is discontinued and no longer available from us. • 1906 is discontinued and no longer available from us. • 1910 is discontinued and no longer available from us. |

Performer RPM Q-Jet, 850 cfm, electric choke. Only 850 cfm Performance Q-Jet That’s Ready To Go! This carburetor is a high performance version of the Q-Jet calibrated for use with the Performer RPM Q-Jet manifold and other high performance, non-emissions applications. It has an 850 cfm air flow capacity, and the .149” diameter needle and seat assembly provides fuel flow to support 500+ horsepower. The unique secondary air valve has special mixture distribution tabs for improved air/fuel distribution and large idle discharge ports to provide sufficient idle control for use with long duration camshafts. A totally unique feature is the adjustable cruise air/fuel ratio for part throttle calibration. Other features include: early Chevy (1966-73) throttle arm and integral electric choke.
