They are no longer available. This page will remain here for information purposes only. The Webmaster 4-14-2000. P/N 10051106 A cast iron Mark IV Bow Tie block is strong foundation for any serious big-block engine project. This “short-deck” heavyduty block was designed to meet the needs of Pro Stock drag racers, and other competitors for powerful and dependable 500ci engine. The Bow Tie block’s cylinder wall are “siamesed”. A Bow Tie big-block can safely be bored to 4.500” because there are no water passages between adjacent cylinders. The deck surfaces are reinforced and the hed bolt holes are blind tapped to improve head gasket sealing. Four-bolt main bearing caps and reinforced cylinder barrels add strength to the Bow Tie block’s bottom end. Technical Notes: This block has semi-finished 4.250” diameter cylinder bores. The distance from the crankshaft centerline to the deck surface is 9.800”. It has provisions for a mechanical fuel pump. ![]() 4.495” Bore (Short Deck) This block is the same as P/N 10051106 short deck Bow Tie block, except it is bored to 4.495”. The deck height is 9.800” inches. |
