350 HO 330 HP - ZZ4 ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK SWAP INFORMATION

350 HO 330 HP Engine Oil Dipstick Problem With Headers

The engine oil dipstick that comes on the 350 HO does not work well with headers. Replacing this with a ZZ4 engine oil dipstick solves the header problem. The photos below show how the two dipstick tubes are mounted. The ZZ4 engine oil dipstick parts are: P/N 12551144 (Indicator), P/N 12551154 (Tube), P/N 09439930 (Bolt) The 330 HP 350 engine oil dipstick part number isn’t needed to be known, since it already comes with the crate engine. You must order the ZZ4 engine oil dipstick mentioned above to solve this problem. In rare cases, there may not be a location to bolt on the ZZ4 engine oil dipstick tube to the block as shown. In this case you will have to have the mounting bracket on the tube altered so that it can bolt on in the forward hole on the opposite side of the tube.
