| Technical Note: This Engine does not have exhaust heat crossover in the cylinder heads. WHICH MEANS....This engine won’t allow an EGR valve to function. Also, since there are no heat crossover, hot air chokes on carburetors will not function. We recommend electric choke style carburetors. A closed style air cleaner with a hot air pipe from the exhaust manifold is recommended for cold weather operation. The above horsepower was obtained with headers. This engine requires a good exhaust system, headers are highly recommended. It has a standard exhaust bolt pattern. Some engines with the double front bolt pattern will not work with stock cast iron manifolds. | |
