If your engine compartment or intake setup doesn’t spare much clearance for your distributor, this is the one you need. The special housing sits nearly 1” lower and is 3/8” narrower than a standard points style cap. Even in this smaller package, the distributor is still packed with MSD performance. MSD’s race proven magnetic pickup still provides the accurate trigger signals you would expect from a Pro-Billet Distributor. Just above the pickup, there is still a fully adjustable mechanical advance assembly topped by our glass reinforced Rynite rotor. MSD Pro-Billet Small Diameter, Chevrolet V8 Distributor
     This distributor was designed for racers and street rodders that have space limitations due to firewall interference, large air cleaners, or oversized intake manifolds such as tunnel rams.
     Like all MSD Pro-Billet distributors, this housing is constructed on a CNC-machine from6061-T6 aluminum. Proven performance features include a high output magnetic pickup and precision triggering. A fully adjustable mechanical advance allows you to tailor the advance curve to your specific application. A full selection of springs and bushings are supplied with each distributor.
     For high rpm reliability, the steel shaft is QPQ coated and is supported with a ball bearing at the top and a sintered steel bushing at the bottom. The Tufride coating reduces friction and allows much smoother higher rpm ranges and longevity over conventional bronze/steel shaft combinations.

Note: Must be used with 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 Series Ignition. Supplied with cap and rotor. Will not accept a CAP-A-Dapt. Unit stands 5-5/8” to 6-3/8” above the intake manifold after being installed and is approximately 4-3/4” wide. This product is not legal for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles.
