Power Upgrades For The ZZ4 350 H/O Engine
Option 1 (385 HP): A very popular combination that’s perfect for street. It puts out 385 HP / 410 lbs of torque. The power gain comes from custom ported ZZ4 cylinder heads and match ported intake manifold. Requires 750-CFM carb and headers _ _ _ _ P/N SCZZ4-1 Option 2 (395 HP): Option 1 included, plus an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold. If you have hood clearance, this is an easy 10 horse power increase to 395 HP / 416 lbs torque. #7101 with RPM square flange_ _ _ _ _ _ _ P/N SCZZ4-2S #7104 with RPM Q-Jet_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ P/N SCZZ4-2Q Option 3 (400 HP): Includes options 1 & 2. Plus the installation of roller rockers with a ratio of 1.5. Power increases come from less rotation torque, more precise valve lift, and less valve train wear. Oil temperature will also decrease. We reach the 400 HP mark with 420 lbs of torque, with this option. Gm aluminum guided roller rockers _ _ _ _ _ P/N SCZZ4-3G Crower stainless steel roller rockers _ _ _ _ _P/N SCZZ4-3C Option 4 (420 HP): Includes options 1,2 & 3. This option requires a cam change. We install the new LT-4 H.O.T. cam with 1.6 roller rockers. This brings the horse power to 420 HP / 427 lbs of torque.
Option 5 (440 HP): Includes 1, 2, 3, & 4 above. This is our most powerful H/O engine which requires a single plane intake manifold (Edelbrock Part #2975 Victor Jr.) also an increase in valve size with manley stainless steel 2.000” intake and 1.560” exhaust. The engine was struggling for more air flow and that’s what we gave it, creating 440 HP / 437 lbs of torque.

P/N SCZZ4-5 Option 6 (395 HP): SUPER H.O.T. ZZ-4 H.O.T. Roller Camshaft, 1.6:1 Roller Rockers, 395 HP @ 5,800 RPM / 415 Ft. Lbs. @ 4,300 RPM. This option is for someone wanting just a little more power than the stock ZZ-4. Consult with a GMPP sales person for more information. P/N SCZZ4-6 |

In other words, Chevrolet keeps the original parts and substitutes the upgraded parts. This allows Chevrolet to sell the upgraded parts, as an option, lower then if you bought the upgraded part by itself. If you wish to keep the original part along with upgrading, you will have to call our toll free 1-800 number for the cost.
